Description
RockForce ODEX (Overburden Drilling Excentric) Systems provide an efficient solution for drilling through unstable or difficult overburden formations while simultaneously advancing the casing.
The ODEX system is an adaptation of the air-circulation DTH hammer and operates with a concentric pilot bit, eccentric reamer and guide device. The guide device engages with a specially designed internal-shouldered casing shoe, allowing the casing to be pulled down as drilling progresses.
During drilling, cuttings are efficiently flushed through the annular space between the guide device and casing shoe and directed to the surface or into a sample collection system.
